When devices are missing or no devices answer
Work through Wi-Fi, isolation and sleeping-device limits.
First confirm that the phone is on the intended Wi-Fi and that the target device is awake on that same network. A guest network may deliberately prevent clients from seeing one another.
Check the subnet displayed in the results. Devices on a different subnet, a network outside the bounded scan range, or behind client isolation may not be visible. Do not change a managed network’s security settings just to make a scan work.
Disconnect a VPN only if your network administrator permits it, then return to the intended Wi-Fi and retry. If Wi-Fi is unavailable, wait until it is restored; cellular service is not a substitute for a local scan.
Quiet devices can refuse all of the limited checks even while connected. No devices found means that none answered these checks; it does not prove the network is empty or safe.
For ongoing visibility, an authorized monitoring deployment with agents can observe activity over time. An emulator cannot establish real router, Wi-Fi isolation or physical-device compatibility.
