Run a local network scan
Check responding devices without creating an account or changing the network.
1. Connect this phone to the private Wi-Fi network you want to check. Use only a network you own or have permission to assess. A cellular connection or VPN is not a supported scan target.
2. On the home screen, tap Scan this network. Keep the app open while the progress count advances. The results show how many addresses were checked and how many devices responded.
3. Tap a device to see its address, responding services and available advertised names. Scan again refreshes the snapshot. Done returns to the home screen.
The scan makes limited TCP connection checks on the selected Wi-Fi. Large networks are narrowed to the displayed /20 or smaller subnet around the phone, up to 4,094 addresses. Local service naming is available on Android 13 and newer.
Sentinel does not attempt logins, request Wi-Fi passwords, intercept traffic, block devices or change their settings. This is a snapshot of responding devices, not a complete security assessment.
