Understand your access role
Know why editing or acknowledgement may be unavailable.
Read-only can view the inventory and monitoring information the server makes visible. It cannot edit devices or acknowledge alerts.
Operator can edit device labels and related details and acknowledge alerts. Administrator and Owner have broader deployment administration privileges; the native app only exposes its supported inventory and alert controls.
The server is authoritative for access and visibility. A disabled control is not a defect when the current role does not permit the operation. Ask your administrator for the minimum access needed.
Synthetic preview never changes real server records. Its illustrative devices and alert history must not be treated as your own network.
